Hong Kong with Bestie!

;

24 Oct - 28 Oct
Pei Wen, Yu Bin and I went for a very spontaneous trip to Hong Kong. We only bought the ticket prior two weeks and few days before that, we saw the news about the Typhoon happening in Hong Kong. My family and friends were like weather experts, keep saying that it's quite cold over there. So I brought all my thickest jackets and clothes over there, and guess what? It was scorching hot and I have literally no clothes *silly*...I think I would look like a freak over there if I were to wear winter clothes hahahahaa

Here is the references for prices
AirAsia- RM700 including meal+20kg baggage allowance
BP International Hotel- RM1000/person
MTR Octopus Card- HKD150 (MYR 80)
Tourist Sim Card - HKD 85 (MYR45)
Disneyland Ticket- MYR 288

So here's a few tips on travelling at Hong Kong!

1. PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Always consider bus or MTR because it is very convinient and cheaper compared to Taxis. We used up all the credit (HKD 100) for the octopus MTR card in five days. We have to pay total of HKD 150 first and the HKD50 is for deposit which is refundable.

2. FAVOURITE QUESTION:WHAT TO BUY?

In order to skip the long queue at Tsim Sha Tsui, you can purchase Jenny's Bakery and DearestGrace at Sheung Wan (MTR Sheung Wan Station, Exit E2) . You can purchase Jenny's bakery first and go for a short lunch until DearestGrace open. The price here is almost the same with the branch at KL, just that it was slightly cheaper. They might have more stocks and design compared to Malaysia too.

Jenny's Bakery - 10AM-7PM
Dearest Grace- 1PM- 8 PM

I advise you guys to go Central because the Adidas outlet over there is soooooo much bigger and more new arrival!*excited* We went to Po Hai Gai, 'Sneakers Street' but couldn't find nice one for ourselves. So I bought this ZX Flux Advanced W at the CENTRAL Adidas Outlet! So simple and light weighted , it cost around HKD699 (around MYR330).

3. EAT ALL YOU CAN!

 Ichiran ramen (一蘭 尖沙咀店)
Address: 8 Minden Ave, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
 Open 24 HOURS

Australia Dairy Company
Address: 47 Parkes St, Jordan, Hong Kong
7:30AM–11PM

Tsui Wah Restaurant
Address: 15 Wellington St, Central, Hong Kong
Address: 2 Carnarvon Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

4. PHOTO SPOTS!

What's more important than photos that captured all the memories right! There're few locations that you shouldn't miss, no matter you're with your lover or best friends. It will be so memorable.

 MTR Station
 Heritage 1881

 and STREET!

Starferry harbour *this is the favourite HK Drama spot*

5. LASTLY, PREPARE FOR DISNEYLAND
So here is the dream come true place for people. When I walked in, there will be a lot of childhood times flashback. How I watched cartoons everyday before going to school and there are so much memories. We spend one whole day at Disneyland and I think we actually spammed like 1000 pictures all together *blush*.

Tips: Buy your ticket online, around RM288 so you can skip the queue. And wear sport shoe, you have to walk whole day. I thought we were fully prepared but there's one thing that we did not; we forgotten about umbrella. There's no words can describe how hot is it and our skin are burning on that day. If you don't mind to have a sexy tan skin, then go ahead and get the free sun bath. But if you're worry like me, *i gets darker easily* then you should apply super sunscreen+ bring an umbrella along.

MTR 佐敦 — 荔景 — 欣澳 — 迪士尼  (MTR Jordan - Lai KingSunny Bay - Disney). We had meal at Disneyland and it costs around 100-130hkd per plate (RM50-70). The portion is very big too! After watching 'Disney in the Stars fireworks' we run like mad to get into the first train. We don't want to stuck inside the MTR like sardin.

I really enjoy the foods, street views and culture over there. It's really great to travel with your bestie and take a short break Hope the short tips does help to plan for your next trip!
